My name is Megan Gurski, I have recently completed my journey on becoming a teacher.
In April 2018 I finished my final semester at the U of R! I am completed my degree in Secondary Education with a Major in Physical Education and Minor in Health. I love the way you can adapt physical activity to be an inclusive practice, where we can create active learners for life and not just for now. Creating a inclusive classroom/gymnasium is an important piece to my teaching.
I also have a passion for the outdoors. There are many tools you can utilize in nature that can aid in cross-curricular teaching. This also helps build relationships within nature and with the students, taking students out of their comfort zone can build resilience and show leadership.
